Studying at the top world-ranked campuses in the United States certainly costs a lot of money. But, don’t worry! There are many scholarships that can take you to prestigious universities, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to Stanford University.

Scholarships to study in the United States generally come from the government, colleges, and other United States funding institutions with various schemes. The scholarship is offered to students from friendly countries, including Indonesia.

The following scholarships can be applied for to support studies in the United States, both partially funded and fully funded:

1. Foreign Fulbright Student Program

The Foreign Fulbright Student Program, also known as the Fulbright Scholarship, is a full scholarship program provided by the United States government for international students who wish to undertake a Masters or PhD degree. This scholarship is also available for non-degree postgraduate study.

2. Humphrey Fellowship Program

The Humphrey Scholarship is a full scholarship program awarded by the United States government. This scholarship is awarded to professionals to take part in a professional enrichment program. Usually scholarship recipients are people who have a high leadership spirit and are committed to the public service sector. Registration around September-October.

3. Emerging Global Leader Scholarship

This scholarship is targeted at outstanding international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in the United States. Applicants are generally people who are dedicated to positive social change for disadvantaged communities in their home countries. Usually scholarships are opened at the end of the year or the beginning of the year.

4. American University Scholarships

American University Scholarships is a scholarship program provided by the American University (AU). This scholarship is intended for outstanding international students at the S1-S3 level. Scholarships are usually awarded in the form of tuition fee waivers per academic year.

AU provides two scholarship schemes, namely Merit Awards and Fellowships & Assistantships. Students can apply for this merit scholarship before February in the Fall.

5. Columbia College Scholarships

6. Michigan State University International Scholarship

7. Regional Award Scholarship for Undergraduate Student

Another scholarship to study in the United States is also provided by one of the leading universities, Oregon State University. This scholarship is given to undergraduate students in the form of a tuition fee discount. Usually, this scholarship lasts for 4 years.

8. New York University Wagner Scholarships

New York University Wagner Scholarships are outstanding scholarship programs offered to students for every new student admission, including international students. This scholarship provides partial to full tuition funding.

9. World Bank Scholarships

World Bank Scholarships through the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarships scheme is a full scholarship program for students from member countries of the World Bank. Students can choose to study at 8 universities in the United States, including Harvard University.

10. LPDP Scholarship

The next scholarship to study in the United States is a scholarship provided by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia through the Education Fund Management Institute or what is familiarly called the LPDP scholarship.

The LPDP scholarship itself includes several schemes. One of them is the LPDP scholarship for the World’s Main Universities (PTUD). Top universities in the United States can apply for this scholarship, from MIT, Harvard University, University of California, to Yale University.
